As some of you may know – and for those of you that do not – we are very much in Moustache Season at the moment.
We are in the month of Movember – as it has been rechristened – and therefore moustaches are sprouting up all over the place in the aid of a good cause. The aim is to raise funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men.

On my part, being unable to grow a moustache myself, I’ve turned to what I know best – crafting and cake making. Yesterday I baked a batch of Vanilla Cupcakes, topped with lots of buttercream and large, fondant, Moustaches. My Mum took them into her work at Wright and Morten Large Animal & Equine Vets. Some of her colleagues have decided to participate and grow their way into the ‘history-books of fine moustachery’. You can visit their Mo-Space here – http://uk.movember.com/mospace/2604660/ & the facebook page of Wright & Morten – which has regular updates on the Moustaches – can be found here – https://www.facebook.com/pages/Wright-Morten-Farm-Animal-Services/131689813555008?sk=wall
Today I made a set of Brooches, from black, grey and brown felt and gold pins, in the shape of three different styles of Moustaches. I’ll be adding these to my Etsy Shop shortly, so keep an eye out!
Have you done anything for Movember?
